Here’s $200 to give to …..
If you had a spare $200 & could give it to any legitimate and active community group or project that operates in Newstead for clear community benefit in Newstead, which would it be?
Think about it because among the benefits to come with Newstead’s new & now operating local solar farm is Renewable Newstead’s Local Community Benefit (LCB) Program.
The LCB enables every local householder or business signing up with the farm’s energy retailer, Flow Power, to receive $200, if & once they present a legitimate and paid Flow Power bill to Renewable Newstead (RN).
Eligible LCB claimants can nominate a legitimate & active local club or organisation or project that operates in Newstead for Newstead’s community benefit to receive $100.
They can keep the additional $100 for themselves or also donate it to an active & legitimate group, club or project operating for clear local community benefit in Newstead.
Here’s how it works.
1. Sign up to get your electricity from Flow Power here using the code 30-20 when you do. This will link your NMI (electricity) account with the Newstead Solar Farm.
2. Once you’ve signed up, and before November 30, 2024, claim the LCB by sending a Flow Power electricity bill to info@renewablenewstead.com.au with “LCB claim” in the subject line. Alternatively, hard copies can be dropped to a locked box at the Newstead Rural Transaction Centre.
3. Along with your invoice please include, your name, phone number, the name of the Newstead, club, organisation or project you want to give your LCB to.
4. If you wish to keep $100 of the $200 for yourself, please also include your bank account name, BSB & account number with the emailed or printed copy of your Flow Power bill/invoice.
5. That’s it.
This opportunity, offered by Renewable Newstead, is time limited. Present your bill before 30 April, 2025. Renewable Newstead will distribute the funds according to your request & report on amounts distributed in the Newstead Echo & on this website.
